GET YOUR RACE LICENSE WITH US!

We offer a full arrive & drive racing school in partnership with the North Atlantic Racing Academy to help you get your racing license. We host schools nearly year round at our home track, Thompson Speedway Motorsports in Connecticut. We utilize professionally built Spec Miatas. They are the perfect car for beginners to learn with.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Students who graduate our school successfully, earn a signed off Novice Permit License with the SCCA.  With this permit, drivers can enter any SCCA regional race, except for Majors races. Upon completing three race weekends, within two years, drivers will receive their SCCA full competition license.

Our program is a one day school. We start each of them at 7:30am with classroom sessions to teach drivers the basics of racing & safety.  By 9:00am students are on track in their rental car with their assigned instructor sitting next to them in passenger seat. After each on track session, students attend classroom sessions to review the last track session and areas for improvement. We take a mid-day break for students and instructors to go on a track walk to get a more close-up look of the race course.  Our afternoon segment focuses on doing practice race starts with our instructors still riding along. The day concludes with a few full mock race sessions.

In 2024 Flatout Motorsports & North Atlantic Racing Academy are hosting a limited number of one-day race school events for the upcoming season. Sign up today to reserve your spot before they fill up.
